- Send an email to computing@help.carthage.edu asking for Office 2019 for Mac. Indicate that you're a full time employee of the College in the body of the email.
- If you've got Microsoft Office installed on your Mac, then follow Microsoft's instructions for removing it from your computer: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-office-for-mac-eefa1199-5b58-43af-8a3d-b73dc1a8cae3 Do this before trying to install Office 2019, to prevent issues.
- Download the ZIP sent to you via a link in an email from Request Tracker (RT).
- Open the ZIP once it's downloaded.
- Run Microsoft_Office_16.30.19101301_Installer.pkg first.
- Note: While you can install OneNote, Outlook, & OneDrive, LIS does not support them. Use at your own risk.
- Once that's done installing, open Office 2019 Volume Serializer.ISO
- In the window that opens up, run Microsoft_Office_2019_VL_Serializer.pkg.
- Once that's done, you can launch Word 2019, Excel 2019, or PowerPoint 2019, & you won't be forced to sign into a Microsoft account & pay for Office 365.
- Reply to the RT email letting us know that you've installed Office 2019 so we can resolve the ticket.
