- The Super Smash Flash 2 Expansion Forums were special forums run by the SSF2 devs, and were completely independent from the McLeodGaming Forums. It was the place where expansion characters would first be created and accepted before they would be programmed as extra characters for Super Smash Flash 2. To start an expansion one first had to have five animations done, in order for their expansion.

OK, so it's kind of common knowledge now that Smash Flash 2 is planned to have official DLC in the form of 'Expansion Characters'. However, in recent times, the concept has sort of gotten lost and is barely ever brought up now. However, such a cool sounding concept can't be ignored.
Apparently the only rule for a character inclusion was that the character has to be well made, but could otherwise be from anything. It could be a film character, a cartoon character, an original character, and perhaps even a real life figure. Most of this content would have to be made by skilled spiters on the forums though.
Since Smash Flash appears to be coming near the end of the demo stage, I mean, we have had over ten updated versions of the game, and Version 9b seems to be the last or second to last edition before we get the full game. So what do you think? Do expansions have a chance of emerging soon?
In the meantime, this thread can be used to post creative movesets based on any character, like in Make Your Move, but not a competition. Just a simple test of creative skill and imagination. Who knows? Maybe a skilled spiter might stumble across this forum and make sprites based on every character we design!
